I am a 55 year old seasoned turkey hunter from way back in the day where you could barely even find a place selling mouth calls much less a youth frame mouth call. I guess as a kid I should have had an dental expander for the roof of my mouth and orthodontic work.... but that wasn't the case. Anyhow I always struggled with full size mouth calls because they simply wouldn't fit in the roof of my mouth.
I found youth frame calls maybe 20 years back, but never was really satisfied with my mouth calling or tone..... so i called almost 95% with friction calls which I can hold my own with.
But last season I tried a few varieties of KLUK youth frame calls and a few different stretches also.
I can now make any call I need to including gobbling with this Youth Frame Low Stretch Rasp Attack combo cut. It is a super deadly call that is very forgiving. I can call so soft and low its unreal.... but can turn it up and cutt and cackle then gobble and project like an Ole Longbeard hammering away.
You will not be disappointed.... buy a few and experiment until you will find the right one. Its worth the effort
Nice fit, nice tone - requires more air than I’d like, but will perform the task at hand.
RASP ATTACK (YOUTH FRAME MOUTH CALL)
I am a beginner but this call is very easy to use. Sound is good and very raspy. I did have to trim it down a little as it's not as small as other small frame/youth calls that I've tried in the past but was easy to trim and works great! I'm definitely going to try other calls that you offer and going to order another like this to have on hand!
If you’re looking for rasp, this is the call for you. As a beginner caller this call has been difficult to learn on and I’ve considered modifying it to be easier to do two part yelps on it. The size of tape on the youth frame fits me perfectly but this call has a hard to control high end and subsequent low rasp and is hard to learn on. Not a beginner call.
